The bias against southerners is alive and well in the liberal media here and abroad. It’s not like they thought the island of Guam would tip over with a few more sailors on it or anything.....

I have to admit - this did make me laugh.

We had a peculiar nut who showed up at town meetings and talked about aliens and what voices from outer space told him. By ordinance they have to give anyone who shows up at public meetings their 5 minutes. ;-P

That is not the stupidest thing that has ever been said in a hearing.

Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA) allegedly expressed a fear during a hearing on March 25, 2010 that the island of Guam could capsize if too many military personnel were stationed there. The linked YouTube video shows the exchange with Admiral Robert Willard in which Rep. Johnson expressed his fear.
