The only reason Rush is on the defensive is because he’s just a man with a mic.
Never set foot outside the studio.
Never step out into the street to make a point, unlike many Freepers on 12Sep09.
He sold ties. Now he sells books. ...and while I have appreciated his immense contribution to the conservative movement, he just ran afoul of his audience in a way he never has before.
He invoked McCain in relation to Trump.
Sorry Rush, but that was a disturbing and telling move.
‘he just ran afoul of his audience in a way he never has before’
Yes he did
Makes me wonder if Rush has even the remotest idea of how despised McCain is in conservative circles.
‘wha ?
And Rush should have. My family and I have been very strong supporters of Donald Trump, but his leftist attacks over the weekend have made us rethink our support. Ted Cruz has been one of the few, fighting the establishment, and didn’t deserve Trump’s depiction of him. Right now, we don’t know who we are going to vote for anymore. And were sick about it.
Every time I turn on Rush he seems to be selling Apple products and boring me even further with golf discussion.
You want to know what's disturbing and telling?
That the audience of Trump admirers laughed at Trump's flip remark, "I like people who weren't captured" when he was belittling McCain's "war hero" status.
That when the same interviewer asked him if he'd ever asked God for forgiveness (a stupid question easy to deflect), Trump paused and replied, "That's a tough question," the audience laughed, and he want on for the next minute or two with a serious answer to the question posed that boiled down to: "not me!"
THAT is disturbing and telling.
