Why would they sell the truck without painting over the name/logo?
Who are you talking about? The dealership or the plumber?
From an earlier story, the plumber went to peel off the decals, but the salesperson said they'd do it, otherwise the paint would be damaged.
The dealership saved money by not peeling off the decals...

I also have some sympathies for the plumber, but the moral of the story seems to be, always remove your branding before getting rid of a vehicle.
"The dealership saved money by not peeling off the decals..."
Apologies if I've repeated an earlier posting: I would have thought that the dealership could have got a better price by removing the decals before selling on, but it appears maybe not. It certainly would have been easier than risking a court case!

He should have taken it off for his own protection. Once it’s out of his hands, the new owner can do anything they want with it. Never trust a used car salesman. He won’t get a dime.

I meant the plumber.
Interesting if the dealership said they’d peel off the decals, then sold the truck without doing so. That, in my book, probably helps the plumber’s case.
Moral of the story: don’t reply on spoken promised. Get it in writing, or do it yourself.
