He is why I quit watching network news back in the 60’s. I do not think I have missed anything. I took my local paper until it became too liberal. Do not miss it either.
I cancelled my local paper way back when when the Freedom Newspapers franchise did a whole issue on the homosexual DC demonstration. It was all about the many many wonderfulnesses of being queer. There were other ways to get my Walter Williams columns.
“I took my local paper until it became too liberal. “
Me too.
I gave up the dreadful Boston Globe because of the far left leaning.
The paper is now being run by Linda Pizzuti Henry, the second wife of zillionaire John Henry-—who proably bought it for her as a gift.
It is now more magazine than newspaper, with front page, above the fold, human interest stories and lots of pop culture inside.
Astonishing change——and thank God for the internet.

If Conkrite said, at the end the week that 3,678 VC had been killed and 357 American boys had died, we believed it!
In our innocence and naivete we sucked it all up as truth.
There is no doubt that they shaped our thinking in big way. When Conkrite said the war was lost, LBJ apparently said, “if we've lost Conkrite, we have lost middle America”.
