There is much interest in the shooting & death of the person dressed as a biker wearing a red bandanna/scarf circulating around the web & other discussion groups. I would call the two released video segments containing what transpired immediately before & after the bandanna wearer appears to die as ambiguous; several possibilities exist. Those desiring to study the video segments will need the CNN ED Lavandera batch of leaked video segments of Oct 30, 2015 & this newer segment released Dec 11, 2015. The Oct batch depicts the scene from inside the Twin Peaks patio looking out the windows in the direction of the TP corner facing the Interstate frontage road, this newer video depicts the scene in the opposite angle (from the direction of the outside parking lot & frontage road looking into the TP patio windows.
The scene begins when the red bandanna guy runs up behind another person dressed as a biker & appears to punch him in the throat, then grab him in a bear hug & spin that person around & to the sidewalk. Another person dressed as a biker walks up with a chrome pistol in his right hand as red bandanna & his spun around target both tumble to the ground. This is the start point for the shooting. A thick pole blocks the view from the newly released video segment, the Oct video depicts both the pistol & the recoil in a better frame rate than the newer video (both suffer from what looks like time-lapse frame rates).
Slow your video player down to make screen grabs easier. Studying the action in a series of screen grabs was easier for me to pick up clearer details about the scene.
I do not know if the two persons dressed as bikers were undercover operatives or genuine bikers. The fatality from this scene was a genuine biker. If one or both were undercover, their photos, tattoos, beards are captured in your series of screen grabs. A mugshot should be in the mugshot collection (if neither skipped out of arrest).
At present, the video segments can be interpreted as either of the non-fatalities shot the red bandanna guy or outside the area shooters (perhaps swat or snipers protecting the undercovers)from red bandanna guy. bullets striking the ground or pavement near these actors is visible in the footage (suggests outside shooters firing around the actors involved in the fight struggle to the ground in a protective manner).
Hope that helps. The public knows undercovers were at TP from the DPS reports that were leaked. It's not unreasonable to expect undercovers to protect themselves with firepower nor members of a team supporting them. The red bandanna guy obviously presented himself as an aggressor & posed an immediate threat to the man he spun around to the ground. Many feel CNN is leaking these videos knowing the Waco DA is not going to prosecute undercovers (he probably can't anyway) but use the videos for the shock value of may or may not be genuine bikers committing violent acts.
