I think it was Eastern Washington State. IIRC I read (on FR) one of the profs there marked kids down for saying gender specific pronouns (like he, she, her, etc.)!
The trouble is, so many colleges are so liberal. But her HS is too, and she is able to hold her own. Same with my son at college - which is a Christian school, but is still plenty liberal in a lot of ways.
I have several grandchildren in college, or applying to various colleges. Most of them are from conservative families, and I shudder to think of them encountering this kind of prejudice. They can get suspended from school, or lose a scholarship these days for answering “wrong”.
One of my grandsons is in the interview stage of applying to 2 different miitary academies (He already has 3 recommendations and is interviewing with his Senators right now.) Of course, the academies have the final say, and a politically incorrect answer could leave him out in the cold.
It’s infuriating. What is college for, but to question and to learn to think critically?
