We'd better not squander that.
I will be the first to agree that Ted Cruz is the closest to being Reagan's ideological successor as we've seen in many a year, and I could be more than content with seeing him taking office in January 2017.
If however for whatever reason, Cruz is unable to prevail and secure the nomination, and presuming that Trump is the nominee, I fully expect that Cruz would support Trump and urge his supporters to do likewise.
