The Dems have been doing that for many years. They get a cross-section of what they perceive to be a representation of Americana (appropriate mixture of races, and people in uniform - if possible), they have them stand behind the demagogue, and then they have them nod their heads up and down whenever the politician says something...
Does this actually work?
Do people agree more because they see strangers nodding their heads up and down?
I find it condescending and insulting.
My feeling also. Those people remind me of sheep. Sheep bobbleheads.
