I think an important part of the lack of empathy of many Muslims for their non-Muslim victims (maids, prostitutes, poor workers) is their iron-clad FATALISM.
If Allah WILLED them to be impoverished whores with no voice in the politics of Saudi Arabia, then WHAT CAN BE DONE, right?
I mean.....ALLAH WILLED IT, right?
So many of them don’t feel a need to care.
That’s also why a lot of them don’t aim their rifles; “My bullet will fly true if Allah wills it...”
Or why they don’t maintain their vehicles, e.g. tanks, “If Allah WILLS the tank to start, then the tank will start...”
I agree with you regarding their fatalism but on the issue of maintaining their equipment I read that Muslims regard themselves as warriors and they regard those who maintain equipment akin to slaves who looked after the warrior's horses in the past. Since nobody wants to die being a slave they turn it over to the will of Allah. I'm thinking Allah never maintained a tank, which is OK with me too.
