A new 2-minute video by the Madison Project political action committee plugs presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, as a consistent conservative and non-establishment candidate who can "break the Washington cartel."
Madison Project Ted Cruz HD (Video)
The video comprises television and radio clips of Cruz addressing a half-dozen issues that have controlled mainstream media news cycles and occupied Cruz's grassroots base. These include the Supreme Court's judicial activism in its Affordable Care Act and marriage rulings, the nation's law enforcement and national security crisis caused by illegal immigration, taxes and over-regulation crippling small businesses, and Planned Parenthood performing abortions.
Raz Shafer, a consultant on the video who once worked for Cruz in the Senate, said he wanted the narrative simply to be "we need a leader who is consistent on his positions and who is a real fighter" and then shift toward his "record, passion, and sense of opportunity."
The point was to portray Cruz as a "consistent conservative" on social, fiscal, and national security issues, as opposed to what Cruz calls "campaign conservatives" who "realize they're against Planned Parenthood when they're running for President."
Neither the Madison Project's PAC nor Super PAC entities have endorsed a presidential candidate for the 2016 race. But the video implies that may come soon. The Madison Project was the first conservative PAC to endorse Cruz when he ran for the Senate in 2011. Congressional candidates it has endorsed for 2016 include Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Republican Ron DeSantis, who is seeking the Senate seat Marco Rubio, R-Fla., will vacate for his own presidential bid.
True that. Go Cruz!
It didn’t really bother me that his wife was Goldman Sachs/CFR until I watched his long-winded explanation... Wow.
Cruz on his wife’s busy life-

I watched your video. Ted Cruz's answer is perfect.
Which campaign hired you, newbie?
Are you afraid of successful women?
I hope everyone considers this.
Is Fast Track trade authority conservative?
Is increasing H-1B visas conservative?
Is legalizing those here now illegally conservative?
Is voting for the Corker bill to eviscerate the Treaty Clause conservative?
If so, he's a perfect conservative, because he's conservative on everything else.
Video Plugs Cruz as 'Consistent Conservative' on All IssuesWell except that whole giving Obama unconstitutional authority for giving the America hating terrorists of Iran the nuclear bomb, $150 billion dollars, and US protection from Israel...'we got nothing, not even the prisoners they still hold hostage'.
Sounds more like a traitor than a conservative.
Check my last 20 posts. Inform yourself, it’s fun.
So I watched the “evidence” for your veiled premise that his explanation was “long-winded” and somehow this should worry us all about the loyalty of Ted Cruz to conservatives.
All I saw was a candidate who fully explained his wife’s position while at CFR and then provided the context for why the attacks on him (by Dewhurst during his Senate campaign) trying to make the case that he could not be trusted to put the US first were baseless.
Not sure about your intelligence level if that is where you go after listening to Ted on this one.
Cruz fans love to belittle.
Why couldn’t he just say, “So?”
Methinks he doth protest too much.
