Islamic militant groups ignored contact attempts from Pakistan-born Tashfeen Malik in the months before she and her husband killed 14 people at a California holiday party probably because they feared getting caught in a U.S. law enforcement sting, U.S. government sources said on Thursday.
The number of organizations Malik, 29, tried to contact and how she tried to contact them were unclear, but the groups almost certainly included al Qaeda's Syria-based official affiliate, the Nusrah Front, the sources said.
One source said the government currently has little, if any, evidence that Malik or her husband, Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, had any direct contact with Islamic State, which has captured control of large parts of Syria and Iraq. Islamic State said last week the couple were among its followers.

Obama’s government knew the Muslim shooters were trying to get in contact with international terrorist organizations but didn’t think it was worth their time because the terrorists wouldn’t reply? Great policy.
It is worse than that. They knew the Muslim shooters were in contact with terrorist groups. The story about them “trying” and being ignored is an obvious lie.
The theory I read was that it was to be a Christmas attack videoed to have video available for release by Jihadis closer to Christmas.

One news report said she was from a family with “radical ties”.
I would be wary of Mark Hosenball because of his past professional association with avowed Marxist/Cuban DGI agent/KGB asset Phillip Agee (renegade CIA turncoat).
Both Agee and Hosenball were thrown out of England as threats to their national security for their attempts to expose British intelligence operations and secrets.
Don’t know if he has disavowed his connection with Agee or not, so we should not take everything he says as the gospel truth until proven with verifiable documentation.
I am not just wary of him. I don't believe a word he says.
I don't believe that there was no connection between the shooters and Muslim groups. I don't believe Islamic groups “ignored” the shooters. The connections are being covered up.
I believe that this is one more example of the MSM conspiring with the Obama administration to lie to the American people.
What makes the government think any response from these groups was needed? Or that if a response came it would have to come on the same forum or media?
Maybe she just messaged them to report status of projects and there was no reason to respond.
