One has to ask why only the Red Line is cursed and not the Blue and Orange lines as they are all run by the same authority. Decades ago, the Red Line trains caught fire twice by South Station.

Meanwhile our socialist government is increasing road congestion under the guise of Smart Growth. Smart Growth is where they reduce lanes, add sidewalk jetties, speed bumps, make straight roads crooked, and add tight round-a-bouts. They sell it as traffic calming but the real intent is to make automobile driving as miserable as possible to encourage commuters to ride public transportation.

Won't work. It is like mugging a liberal. Will make more conservatives listening to talk radio as they sit in traffic jambs.
