I agree. This pos corrupt mayor is an example why cities are broke. They take care of their cronies and developers while selling out public assets, while other Americans are put on the hook. He should not just resign, but he should spend decades in prison and be required to pay back the $5 million he absconded from the city. He used it to bribe the family of the kid who was shot to buy time until he was reelected.
Let’s hope he is exposed (and incarcerated).
These episodes demonstrate to anyone who wants to go to work every day, as well as anyone who wants to operate a business, that you just can’t be in close proximity to welfare hives. A friend who works in Newark NJ’s small downtown had BLM-type demonstrations closing a highway there; when I asked if the company closed, she replied that they just had people work from home. Technology has made cities irrelevant (in the same manner that malls killed them decades ago - who would shop around such dangerous populations?).
