The Daily News is set to continue its recent streak of provocative front pages on Wednesday. According to a tweet from the New York tabloid, the newspaper will depict Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump cutting off the head of the Statue of Liberty.
"When Trump came for the Mexicans, I did not speak out — as I was not a Mexican. When he came for the Muslims I did not speak out — as I was not a Muslim. Then he came for me," the headline blared.
In smaller text, the Daily News said the headline was based on Martin Niemoller's poem "First They Came," which dealt with Nazi Germany's oppression of socialists, trade unionists, and, finally, Jews.
Trump has faced intense backlash since Monday, when he proposed a temporary halt to all Muslim travel to the US, including immigrants and tourists. The real-estate mogul says a hard-line approach is necessary to keep the US safe from terrorist groups like ISIS.
The Daily News ignited some of its own firestorms in recent days with its front-page crusading on behalf of gun control. One of its covers shamed Republican politicians for only offering "prayers" after last week's mass shooting in San Bernardino, California.
A separate publication, the Philadelphia Daily News, also compared Trump's proposal to Nazi Germany on Tuesday.

You can see, as you sit back and watch and listen, Trump has brought out all the ‘crazies’ of the World...when you thought that Americans, or so some call them selves that, print trash like this, makes you wonder what are they thinking and doing...
Trump showed us the GOPE, RINO base, lying media, lying talking heads, pulled the curtain back, and there it was...people couldn’t believe it at first, now we know better...
Then he pulled back the curtain to show us some of the illegal immigration that has been going on, the visas, the groups supporting illegal immigration, people couldn’t believe that at first, now we know better...
Then he showed us some of our politicians and their actions, people didn’t know what to believe, well he pulled back the curtain again the other night, we didn’t want to believe that these people we elect with our right to vote put into office to lead our country, no we didn’t want to believe it, well after yesterday, now we know...
What is to become of America? We don’t know, today we just don’t know...other than the only person we can fully trust is Trump....other than that, we just don’t know...

I can honestly say the last few days has really brought the cockroaches out of the wood work, and they are so busy writing their ‘doom’ they don’t realize what it is saying or what it is doing not only to them, but America....
I think some of them do realize it and want to destroy us and America.
There are a lot that do feel that way, a lot more than most Americans thought I’m sure...and yes there is another group, not as large as the ‘movement’ we have for Trump, but there is a group that want’s to see the Constitution and the Bill of Rights taken away...I just hope they realize what that is really going to do to them....!!!

The statue is part of the problem.
While stuff like this is scurrilous, if you look behind it, you can see why they are doing it. Only bat guano fear of a return to Reaganesque patriotism, love of Country, resurrected economy and business prosperity, and revocation of all of Obunga’s phone and pen atrocities could bring out such stark panic in the fourth estate.
