Common core for sure..like the published climate scientist who predicted the Himalayas would melt by 2035... Turns out he was a decimal off... They must have hired him to do all numbers, unemployment, growth, obamacare and budgets. Guess they don’t do long division.
The SOBs who rammed this through should be sent to prison for racketeering and fraud.
Can I be on the jury?
My grandson lost his job back in August and now starting a business. For him, his wife, and my 3 great grandchildren it’ll cost them nearly $13000 a year for a garbage Commiecare plan that won’t even cover out of state specialists my great granddaughter needs.
This is an absolute disaster. They’re not even sure what to do at this point other than to wing it and pray.
Welcome to The Redistribution.
That’s exactly what it is. They target the working middle class self-employed families making $55k to $140k a year.
These unfortunate folks make too much money for the subsidy and too much money to list the deductible on Schedule A as it’s typically less than the 10% minimum. Then they get slammed with the self employment tax, making the cost of insurance astronomical.
So, what are they forced to do? Select a plan with a high price, low deductible silver or gold plan so they can deduct the deductibles pre-tax. This costs anywhere between $1000 and $1500 a month. Damned if you don’t. Damned if you do.
Imagine that premium for a healthy family that never uses the insurance. It’s outright robbery. Might as well give your keys over to the IRS for the two new cars you just financed.
The ruling elite in this country are reminding me so much of the queers that Shakespeare wrote about. We have to clean all of those bastards and bitches out of all government positions whether elected, appointed or hired.
They’re targeting those of us who refuse to take the subsidy, too.
Washington DC needs an enema.
I’m one of those you just described so perfectly.
Having paid our first Obamacare penalty I’m am incensed and not looking forward to paying next year’s.
How in the Hell do these people think I can afford that??!!!
And yet it is Republicans and “greedy insurance companies” that are blamed by low information yellow dog Democrats when they can’t pay the penalties or insurance bills.
I see it on the Facebook socialist networking site. I hear it at my workplace.
The Golden Child and Democrats who passed this thing while boasting of not bothering to read it cannot be at fault, no sir.
Think of how the past elections would’ve gone if the penalty provision of Obamacare had not been postponed?
How would it have gone if these penalties were not being progressively increased instead of hitting the public with the full cost the first time it was implemented?
It’s an underfunded disaster and they know it. 100 million adults aren’t working and the sheeple cannot afford it.
I’m earning less than half my previous salary and having to pay nearly $200 a paycheck for a high deductible premium.
Yeah good points.
Libs like to challenge those who refuse to carry insurance, “What happens if you get hit by a bus?”
Sue the damn city and the bus driver.
If I was banking over $400 a month in a personal savings account for my medical care instead of buying insurance from my employer, I’d have over $5,000 set aside the first year, and increasing ever after. And with compounded interest, it would grow and grow. I wouldn’t be beholden to the government and neither would my healthcare provider(s).
And if my employer wasn’t paying costs for my insurance plan, I might be seeing a higher paycheck (the money I bank for medical may be over and above my current wage).
But you won’t have any less effective coverage. All you have to do to avoid the so-called fines is arrange your tax withholding so that there is no refund due. There are many people for whom this unthinkable because they look at that refund as free money from the government and not sending that extra money to the government creates for them a perceived loss. Either way they think they are losing money.
