As a certain pastor I know keeps reminding us, Satan is not God. He’s not omniscient, he’s not all-powerful, he’s not omnipresent, he’s not eternal. He has a temporary, limited role that the true God is allowing him.

Probably so....the question is why??????????

Well, it has something to do with us! How can he sort out the sheep from the goats if there aren’t temptations around to prove our worth? It’s the dividing sword.

It’s the same old question of suffering, and why bad things happen to good people. We are spirits, not robots. We have choices. He is in the business of finding out what they are, helping us to make the right ones if we are listening.
