I think the left has wanted this for decades. “Progressivism” recognizes no limits to power, so it will just go on and on until it provokes a violent reaction. Well, I've read in numerous books on the Revolutionary War that the populace was pretty well split between one-third Patriot, one-third Tory, and one-third Apathetic. Eventually, now, our "one-third" Patriot forces are going to reach the point where something will ignite the war. However, we do need to remember that most of our one-third is armed and ready to use those arms if need be. A significant portion of the "Tory" forces not only are unarmed but untrained and unwilling to become so.

The trick is not to mark time for four years and hold the line. The trick is to roll back the creeping socialism of the past three generations. Trump and Cruz are our best bet for protecting America over the next eight years. Cruz is the only hope for shrinking the physical size of the federal government and restoring the shredded portions of the Constitution. Shrinking FedGov and restoring the Bill of Rights are the only hope for avoiding CWII.

Never going to happen as long as there's Monday Night Football, mortgage on the house, payments on the new truck or SUV and boat. Then there's the kid's soccer or baseball or football practice on the weekends and shopping during the week. And lets not forget the jobs both parents have to attend in order to pay off all the above crap.

I'm not sure even Cruz could do it by what I consider lawful means, but he probably could do it using the Obama precedent. He'll have a pen and a phone, and he can use his discretion to set priorities until he ends up not spending money that was appropriated. There is also a chance that Cruz could get a GOP Congress to slash spending and cut FedGov the right way. But you're right, the odds are against America no matter who becomes president after this terrible eight year gap in that office.
