How is it that people don’t understand the absolute finality of the phrase SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED? It accepts no if, and, or buts. The Founders made it short and clear so that there is no fudging or fiddling in the wording. There is a reason that the right to keep and bare arms was second in the Ten Amendments known as Bill of Rights.
The NRA should have an add that outlines exactly what the average gun buyer goes through to get a firearm. I posted on a different thread my experience last Saturday purchasing a handgun. It took 30 minutes to fill out Fed, State, Base paperwork and then wait for NICS clearance. Finally, after all that, I was escorted out of the BX with my purchase and told to leave the installation. The only reason I got my handgun the same day is because I had a CCW. I certainly felt infringed upon that day.
