The IDF and Border Police carried out a large-scale operation over the weekend that led to the discovery of illegal military equipment in Judea and Samaria.
As part of an effort to prevent terror attacks, the IDF's Etzion Brigade and Maglan unit, along with Border Police, entered the village of Beit Ummar, in Gush Etzion. While there, they uncovered dozens of pipe bombs and a handgun that were hidden underground and intended for use in attacks. The objects have been taken for explosives testing.
In addition, the Rotem Battalion arrested a Palestinian man with two knives in Huwara, near Shechem. The Reshef Battalion also arrested a Palestinian with a knife near Hevron.

I have reason to believe this is a dinky little village near the Old Gate of Alon Shevut that I'm always in the area of, but Google Maps' topography does not give me meaningful confirmation, either in satellite or graphic format.
I would betcha that LEO or the FBI could find a dozen here in some mosque and WE WOULD NEVER HEAR ABOUT IT.
Next up - background checks on anyone purchasing iron pipe fittings at Home Depot, Ace Hardware, etc.

We would never hear about it because they would never raid a mosque. It’s hard to fight terrorists if you can’t narrow it down to Muslims. Imagine if you wanted to get married and have children but you hadn’t narrowed the list to just women.

Not background checks- but iron pipe has serial numbers- has for at least last 15 yrs- possibly longer.
