But I want the real thing

OK, I understand.

Do you believe Ted Cruz can win any states that Romney lost? If so, which ones?

Do you understand that, in order for a candidate who is not Hillary Clinton to be elected that he has to win upwards of ten million Americans who voted for Obama, twice?

Do you have a theory about how to win those votes? They are not conservatives, much less "true" conservatives, much much less the "real thing".

What's your plan to win them with Cruz?

How do you propose that Trump can win them? His negatives are through the roof, and that's after being universally known. And Trump hasn't won anything yet, ever. Let's see first if he can win some primaries.

Family security will put Cruz in firm control all over the country.

The terror attacks have made the job impossible for all of the other candidates, and it will continue to get worse, leading up to the first voting, which will be an H-bomb in Cruz’ favor.

Other issues, like gay marriage, cross-dressing boys in girls locker rooms, and general loss of parental control over school conditions, will be huge in the 2016 election, and all of those issues are tailor made for Ted Cruz.

Jim:

Have a look at this series of articles which appeared earlier this year in MIT Technology Review which outlines the approach used by Obama in 2012 which promises nothing less than a revolution in the way campaigns are conducted. It overturns all of our assumptions and goes a long way toward explaining the inexplicable to conservatives-how Obama could have been reelected in 2012.

If this article is to be credited, the whole idea of how we put together coalitions based on pundits' assumptions or even based on gross numbers garnered in polls are done away with and replaced by this new technology.

If this article is to be credited, it does not matter whether it is Trump or Cruz it matters how the message is packaged and how it is delivered but, most important, how it is individualized.

"What's your plan to win them with Cruz?"

And if we "win" with a candidate who supports socialized medicine and appoints left wing judges.....what exactly have we won?
