To protect American national security we must first understand what threatens American national security. We must grasp who our enemies are, what animates them, and how they work together - despite their internecine rivalries - to destroy us from without and within. We must stop trying to define "true Islam" and start restoring our own principles as our guide: liberty, equality of opportunity, the rule of law, and peace through strength.
The vast majority of Americans still believe in these principles. It is Washington that has lost faith. It is Washington that looks at liberty's enemies and sees friends; that looks at anti-Western Islamic supremacists and sees "moderates" it can play ball with; that looks at lawbreakers and tut-tuts that "the system is broken."
Reinvigorating American principles will require taming Washington. It calls for restoring the Constitution as a vital limit on government, not a relic...or an obstacle. Ted Cruz gets this. Many Republicans talk the talk - we hear it in every election season, right up until it is time to stop campaigning and start governing. Senator Cruz walks the walk. That is why I believe he should be the next president of the United States.

My question is are they more afraid that he can't win or more afraid that he can?
But not an abrupt about face for Andy McCarthy. He is from the Reagan Administration and a very good friend of Mark Levin.
Ruh roh....probably the kiss of death for Ted....kind of like being on SI cover before the super bowl
I do not believe Cruz can win, because he cannot replace the GOPe voters wo will vote for Hillary with “Reagan Democrats”.
Cruz turns Reagan Democrats off. Trump turns them on.
I don’t know why, electoral politics is a mystery, pure democracy is stupid. But I believe it’s true, nonetheless.
Go, Ted, go! The conservatives’ choice.
Yes, it is. A perfect analogy.
I do not think it makes the case for nominating Cruz, however. Quite the opposite.
I don't think Trump has a compass with which to sail the ship. The ship could be turning in all sorts of directions. He's "unpredictable," you know.
In a nutshell.
The GOP Ticket will be Trump for POTUS & Cruz for VP.....
************
I don’t discount what you have said. If it is Trump, I’m just not sure where he’d land with
regards to a VP pick. Normally the election will hinge on 10 or less states so my guess is
he’ll pick a running mate that could help him win in those states. I’m not sure who that
would be at this time.
Regardless it’s going to be an interesting 2016. 57 days until Iowa begins the process.
Mark my words, this is not support. This is put up a roadblock for Trump long enough to get Rubio in.
"That candidate is Senator Ted Cruz. The office of the president is mandated to uphold our Constitution, pursue our interests, and protect our homeland. Ted Cruz's extraordinary gifts give me confidence that he will execute these solemn duties faithfully and effectively. I am proud to support him."
“The senator has not just fought against President Obamaâs disastrous Iran deal...”
The senator VOTED for President Obama’s disastrous Iran deal.
Insanity reigns.
NFW....
The U.S. is running out of bombs to drop on ISIS (CNN)
(consider the source though)
I don’t trust Cruz. His wife is a bigwig with Goldman Sacks. If he is so wonderful WHY hasn’t he spoken like Trump. What exactly has he done to help our country return to its former glory. NOT A THING. I love Trump since the only money sticking out of his mouth is his! Not so much with Cruz. Plus he reminds me of Green Acres , Mr. Haney.
To each his own.
Why choose a cheap, much less informed imitation who cannot control his mouth? I understand some do. But I want the real thing.
Their idea is to get Cruz fighting Trump instead of Rubio.
Then have Rubio overrun a weakened Cruz.
But plans don’t always work out.
Cruz won’t turn on Trump, if ever, until Rubio is finished.
