To protect American national security we must first understand what threatens American national security. We must grasp who our enemies are, what animates them, and how they work together - despite their internecine rivalries - to destroy us from without and within. We must stop trying to define "true Islam" and start restoring our own principles as our guide: liberty, equality of opportunity, the rule of law, and peace through strength.
The vast majority of Americans still believe in these principles. It is Washington that has lost faith. It is Washington that looks at liberty's enemies and sees friends; that looks at anti-Western Islamic supremacists and sees "moderates" it can play ball with; that looks at lawbreakers and tut-tuts that "the system is broken."
Reinvigorating American principles will require taming Washington. It calls for restoring the Constitution as a vital limit on government, not a relic...or an obstacle. Ted Cruz gets this. Many Republicans talk the talk - we hear it in every election season, right up until it is time to stop campaigning and start governing. Senator Cruz walks the walk. That is why I believe he should be the next president of the United States.

Sorry, but Trump’s negatives today are at 63%.
They have stayed above 59% for several months.
The 38% number was some Dem fraction that is obviously not relevant in the GOP primaries.
I believe he will be on the Dem ballot when the actual voting begins.

Cruz made the statement you claim to seek a long time ago.
Cruz, and only Cruz has said from the beginning he would enforce ALL of the related laws.
That would have employers of illegals serving a minimum of one year in jail, and paying a $10,000 fine for each instance of hiring an illegal.
In addition all illegals encountered would face deportation.
Those enforcements would rid us of 90% or more of the illegals by self deportation as their money dried up. Nothing Trump has said rises to that level.
Trump's bombast calls for “sending them all back” and allowing every one that has a job to return with a path to citizenship. That is itself all in violation of present law, which prohibits the return of any deported person, and permanently prohibits consideration of citizenship for life.
Those that have come and left of their own accord are not even traceable by any consistent means.
Trump is not in any way “wiping the floor” with anyone.
Trump's high negatives make him the one candidate that stands absolutely no chance at nomination. Even Bush has lower negatives than Trump.
Educated voters do not make the foolish, ignorant, false statements that you make.

You’re talking about propaganda “push” polls, not real statistically corrected polling.
Those are done by the media to lift Trump and keep him afloat until he can demolish the projected conservative victory. Then they’ll throw him to the floor and spit on him.
