GOP strategists have begun to brace for a long and painful nomination fight
I don’t think the nomination fight will take that long.
LOL, so we’re almost to the point where the GOPe is going to be honest and admit theyre really liberals in disguse. How refreshing, truth at last. RINO is jusst another way to say democrat.
Hum. Let’s just say that the GOPe is right. Undecideds go to other candidates. They won’t all go to the same one. Then when Carson wads up his towel and gives time of death for his ride, I would think Cruz would get 80 percent of his supporters and Mr Trump the balance. Even if you take all of the undecided plus all those polling under 5 percent and give them all to rubio, he still only gets to 30 percent.
Do yourself a favor, Mike, and get your head out of the sand.
If you add up just three anti-RINO candidates--Trump, Carson, and Cruz--you get 36% + 16% + 14% = 66%.
Where do you think Carson's and Cruz's voter will go when Trump knock's 'em out in the early primaries and offers them "Surgeon General" and "Vice President"? to Jeb? to Lindsey Graham? to Kasich? I don't think so.
The smartest thing the RINOs could do would be to jump on the Trump Bandwagon--and FAST!--and try to convince him that they've been just kidding all along.
But if they were that smart, they wouldn't be RINOs in the first place.
And this is why so many Americans consider you RINOs so utterly contemptible.
I hold these elites of both parties more in contempt with each passing day. When did we start to realize that they are just as highly contemptible as the Democrats?
I hold them all in contempt too—along with the so-called “news reporters” of the corrupt press, the anti-American university professors, and the rest of the decadent, corrupt, anti-American Left. They’re all corrupt. When people refer to Putin as a thug I can’t help wondering if he’s as bad as the Clintons—or the rest of these corrupt American power-hungry thugs.
And if that guy happens to win, he becomes the king of the party.
I have recently started wondering the same thing. You know things are bad when you have more respect for Putin than you do for American politicians.
Note that they don’t even bother noting Cruz’s rise, which has been the strongest of any candidate since Carson.
“Note that they donât even bother noting Cruzâs rise, which has been the strongest of any candidate since Carson.”
This was meant for a thread about the CNN poll, which now has Cruz in second.
Interesting here - sounds like they’re about other Republican officeholders and candidates GETTING BEHIND TRUMP and undercutting their little country club. They put out memos like these, and leak them, to try to keep Congressional Republicans in line.
If I were an officeholder, it would be very difficult to find fault with Trump’s stands on border control and immigration...and that scares the hell out of the big money.
Trump is exposing everything that is wrong with Americas political system, and the republican party.
They are only willing to go to the mat, fight to the death, over a perceived usurper, who threatens to upset their cozy relationship with dems and the media.
They have never been this motivated to fight for traditional American values. Those were readily sacrificed in their desire to maintain their hold on the republican party, which is nothing more then a network of griters, working their way up tbe party apparatus, to the next level of tax payer subsidized largess.
Along comes Trump, an independent outsider. He kicked open the door of party headquarters, sat down at the head of the mahogany conference table, put his feet n the table, lit a cigar, and said, “this is how we do things now.”
Agree. Next to Paul, she is likely the biggest “Tea Party” disappointment.
Cruz is still my top pick and gets my donations.
However, if he falls and Trump is still there, I will donate to him even though, as some might point out to justify their lack of tangible support, "he doesn't need my money.....
When you decided you wanted Hilary picking the next couple Supreme Court justices.
The GOP play a terrible negotiating game. Trump has them outclassed and outgunned. The GOP will fold like cheap suits and quickly learn to get on their knees and lick Trump’s boots.
I’m leaning toward Ted Cruz, but Trump is my #2. Living in a late primary state you always need a Plan B. I suspect that if Cruz drops or joins with Trump, you’re looking at a majority of the GOP. That’s why the elite are in panic-mode.
I have no idea if such a thing would happen Trump-Cruz really no idea but if it did I suspect those two would be as tough as the hardest steel to break.
These people are committed globalists. They are facing someone with Nationalist tendencies will will side rail their agenda of global government.
