I’d like a president who unashamedly will stand up and say:
“My fellow Americans. The real meaning of this federal holiday on December 25th is to celebrate the birth of a person who lived and died. Like others whom we devote a day to, eg Lincoln, Washington, Columbus, Martin Luther King, this man, Jesus Christ was someone who, during his life, embodied many of the characteristics of humankind that we should emulate. WE call this day Christmas. And it’s a tradition to wish a person a Merry CHristmas....etc etc “etc.”

MANY of the characteristics??? MANY?? How about ALL of Jesus’s characteristics???
