The National Gun Victims Action Council (NGVAC) is calling on President Barack Obama to declare a “state of emergency†over fictional events, and then use that fictitious excuse to scrap the Constitution and impose his will under martial law.
Gun control supporters really are apparently just this crazy (hat tip: AWR Hawkins):
Americans are in the midst of a gun violence epidemic. The National Emergencies Act gives the president the power and responsibility to declare a state of emergency when the government lacks the procedures and capacity to address an unchecked natural or man-made public health epidemic.
How much more must Americans endure? Domestic military installations have been attacked; media members have been murdered on camera. Shootings have recently occurred at church prayer meetings, in movie theaters, restaurants, department stores, offices, factories, schools, colleges, national parks and while driving along major US highways....

Gun free zones and gun bans keep the sane people from having guns. Let us arm ourselves as we see fit and the crazies will die quickly when they decide to go on a rampage. I guarantee that they’ll switch from guns to cars and bomb vests real quick.

There are a million things that cause more deaths than guns. Besides, criminals break laws. It is what they do.

That group is exactly right, if you take away everybody’s guns, then there will never never never be any more gun violence. All the criminals and terrorists will say, “aw shucks, ok, take our guns, we give up.” Just exactly they way the war on drugs has worked so well. And no one drives drunk ever ever ever since that’s against the law, too.
