Nice try but there is no reference point. Either Adam lived 930 years outside the garden or he lived 930 years From his creation.
Adam was not born of a mother so he had a navel?
When he was in the Garden, he was immortal, yet he counted years?
After immortality, there is one reason to count time and that reason is an awareness of death.
The truth is no one knows how long the Garden existed, there is no way to estimate the age of the earth from the years people lived. There are however insightful references to firmaments and light.
I'd have no particular issue with using a Jewish calendar. It goes back far enough that negative dates aren't really a problem.
If you're going to use a modern calendar system though, using BCE is silly, as it begs the obvious question as to what exactly the defining event that it refers to is.
No, it is not new, and isn’t being introduced by those who hate the Lord. To say that it is is just ridiculous.
BCE and CE are widely in use in scholarly publications, and have been for a long time (mid 19th century).
The number of publications not penned in European countries and other predominantly Christian countries (US, Canada, Australia, Latin America) used to comprise most of what got published, or at least most of what got read in the West, and BC and AD are still in pretty common use, but the former Soviet Union, China, and India are non-Christian countries (despite the agitprop from Pooty-Poot’s Russia) and generally use BCE and CE; Israel, while small, publishes a lot per capita; obviously Israel is predominantly Jewish, and Jewish use of BCE and CE started by the 1850s. The use of it has increased, but it is not new.
Yes, I know. Only in his dreams.
Absolutely incorrect on India. I spent years and years there, including going through their text books, newspapers and other material: they did NOT use BCE and CE.
It’s not “try”, it is what God says, who cannot lie.
ALL THE DAYS THAT ADAM LIVED is pretty clear. From his birth, to his death are all the days that he lived.
