More goal post moving as your forced to make a realistic argument.
First its now been confirmed that reports of hundreds of people cheering. Even the washington post is being forced to admit it.
“But Walter Zalisko, a former police officer in Jersey City, contacted The Fact Checker to say Farmer was wrong. He says he heard on the radio dispatch at the time that officers had found Middle Easterners âclapping and laughingâ on a number of rooftops, even in one case knocking down a cardboard version of the Twin Towers. But he does not think a police report was filed. âIt was at most a hundred people doing this,â
Trump may have made an exaggeration but compared to what everyone else both media the GOPe(aka no cheering etc) trump is possibly exaggerating... the media and GOPe are out right lying.
Not only are they out right lying but they are not being called out for it. You can even read the updates as WaPo is forced to keep walking back it claims... its like a timeline of failures.
Its a well known fact that millions, easily tens of millions of muslims world wide cheered 9/11. Its a well known fact that 100,000 chinese also lived it up on that day. Its another well known fact that tens of thousands of muslims and 100,000s leftists in the US in general cheered 9/11. We have video proof of obama and crew doing just that.
The other issue with this is the fact not everyone cheering 9/11 decided to have a parade in the middle of the street... how many were high fiving each other in there living rooms watching the planes hit and towers fall? Alot of them. So the fact that their is no parade video is not meaningful as far as proving trump right. Add it its really hard to tell hundreds vs thousands. Thats a pretty forgivable mistake vs None at all which is the media propaganda line.
Trump's best bet would be to acknowledge that he seems to remember it the way he's explained it, but it could be case of faulty memory. And he can hang his hat on the reports that have surfaced about reported celebrations. But an honest man, lacking evidence, should back away instead of ramming forward. If something surfaces, he can always go back and say "See. I was right after all".
