Punches will be thrown hard in both directions.
From the article...
4. Amnesty is legalization, period. That's the Trump position: They broke the law by coming here illegally so we can't reward them by letting them stay and work. They're all going home. And then, per Trump's plan, the "good" ones are going to come right back in legally once theyâre been removed. Why that's any better in practice than Cruz's position, I don't know; arguably it's much worse since it would involve the enormous expense of mass deportations with no intention of barring the deported permanently from the U.S. But it sounds tough so it works politically on the right.
Cruz’s TPP/TPA fiasco where he opposed Jeff Sessions is troubling as well...despite Cruz’s attempt to slither out of that dilemma.
True.
“A great wall on our southern border must be built. It needs beautiful doors in it to welcome LEGAL immigration, but the flood of illegal immigrants must end. And we need to legally stop the practice of birthright citizenship; the Fourteenth Amendment was never intended to create a technical path to citizenship. Most Native Americans, for example, although they were born here, were not automatically granted citizenship—and it took almost 150 years before a law was passed making them citizens if they wanted to be.”

The author’s summary is very accurate. Interesting.
Maybe Cruz didn’t want to open himself up to Trump attacking him for the “maniacal” idea of self-deportation:

This is interesting but I don’t recall posting anything on this thread.
Actually, Trump's plan is to expedite the return of immigrants WHO ARE A BENEFIT to the country without harming US CITIZENS.
Trump has made it perfectly clear that citizens come first.
Sometimes it’s best to let a guy go down on his own accord.
I don’t see Trump attacking Cruz on this unless his number increase significantly.
I wasn’t impressed by his actions on H-1B. Now this.
Frankly, I wish these two things hadn’t popped up for Ted.
Agree.
Why can’t Rafael Edward Cruz simply tell us his plan?
Why would it be a secret?
He didn’t vote for TPP or the Iran deal and Cruz is the biggest fighter against amnesty that the Senate has. Of course you know all of this already, you just like to continue spouting lies.
Sorry. It was meant to be a ping.
Hmmmm.
I don’t know if Trump will force the issue. No immediate benefit, and too many headaches to be unleashed for both.
He will let Cruz make the mistakes on this himself. Don’t destroy his ship with your guns, but don’t prevent him from running into a reef of he insists.
How does one bookmark?
How is it possible to run for President and not tell the GOP primary voters what his position regarding one of the biggest issues in 2015 America?
Cruz’s immigration plan, with details, is available for anyone to read. TedCruz.org
Lol....nice try. I love yours and Allahpundit’s (known RINO) loose interpretation of Trump’s policy. Gee, we better let Trump know about this!!
Actually, let’s let Trump tell us about his policy, himself (h/t Harleylady27)...
Donald Trump wants the illegals sent back NO AMNESTY!!!

Just like I did. That way it’s easier to pull up for later viewing.
