Bill de Blasio says Andrew Cuomo is ‘posturing’ on NYC homeless crisis
NY Daily News ^ | November 30, 2015 | Jennifer Fermino

New York City is more than capable of handling the homeless crisis — and Gov. Cuomo’s allegations otherwise are just “political posturing,” Mayor de Blasio said Monday.

In his first comments since the governor’s office claimed he couldn’t “manage the homeless crisis,” de Blasio cited a slew of changes the city has made to deal with the problem — including $2.6 billion in funding for housing for the homeless.

FU de Blasio. I was in NY visiting family for Thanksgiving. I took the family to NYC for all the holiday stuff that makes NYC wonderful this time of year. I never seen so many homeless since the Dinkins administration. De Blasio is even allowing them back on Fifth Avenue in Midtown.

Gee one good Democrat critical of another good Democrat?? What the heck??? Is part of this that their liberal theology doesn’t allow them to make tough decisions about handling homeless??? SF has a terrible homeless problem, and parts of that city smell like urine. But the need of liberals to not interfere with people on the streets overrides the ability of liberals to deal with the problem.

Hey, the guy is a self-avowed Communist. How he thinks he can manage anything, when management skills are learned in the capitalist system, is beyond me.

And how the fact that he is a Communist, "managed" (pun intended) to get by the NYC voters, is beyond me too.

These Lefties all live in an alternate universe from where I reside. It's like a real Twilight Zone episode.

It didn't get by the NYC voters. The Reps didn't like anyone in the race, so they all stayed home (just like they stayed home for Romney).
Then all the Commies in NYC (aka DemoRats) voted for their "big brother."

So the media aren’t hiding the homeless problem, but there’s no connection to any political entity.

Pot, meet kettle.

They’re both posturing and doing nothing.

The Republican, Joe Lhota, was a lousy candidate. The best candidate (sadly) was probably the avowed lesbian former Council Speaker Christine Quinn — but the left rules in Dhimmicrap primaries.

There was an effort to get Ray Kelly, the police commissioner, to run. He declines, but I hear he’s thinking about it now. He’d be the best mayor since Rudy. He’d probably be a good bit like Rudy.

If a Republican is the next president, the media will blame the policies of that president for the allegedly stunning sharp rise in homelessness.

Since Obama is in the White House now, nothing can be blamed on the policies of the current president.

Same here. We also went for Thanksgiving.

Lots of homeless, everywhere :(

Not to mention....DeBlabio was on the news for trying to stop the horse-drawn Central Park carriages, AGAIN!!!!

DeBlabio is the worst thing to have happened to this wonderfully historic city :(

Wake up, NYCers!!

I do recall that and he probably questioned his ability to win.
After 4 years of de Blasio (and BLM, etc.) I think the majority of NYers will sing a different tune and he'd be a shoe-in.

Cuomo may be posturing; de Blasio is definitely not, instead working very quietly to exacerbate the homeless problem beyond all reasonable dimensions.
