Cruz is getting all the best endorsements...there is no worry that Cruz is anything but a true conservative.

Trust Cruz!

It's an excellent ad on many levels, but this caught my attention:

Oklahoma Congressman Jim Bridenstine (and current Major in the Oklahoma Air National Guard) speaking of Ted Cruz: "...he will never betray the very Constitution we are sworn to defend."
I don't hope, I know the above to be true about Ted Cruz.

Obama has set some frightening precedents in extra-Constitutional lawlessness, permitted by an impotent GOP Congress, that must be repudiated completely by the next President.

If the Republic described in the U.S. Constitution is to survive (it's hanging by a thread) only a leader with complete knowledge and commitment to the original blueprints can make that happen. I truly believe 2016 is our last chance.

An autocratic future President driven by ego, while appealing if he shares our views, only serves to reinforce the dangerous precedents set by Obama, thus continuing down our current path further away from the Constitution. If both sides try to make laws by executive order, it will be exploited in truly terrible ways by a Democrat President in the future and the constitutional Republic ceases to exist.

This is why the GOPe is so intent on stopping him, even more so than Trump.

Like many here, I think BOTH Trump and Cruz are great, although I think Trump is more electable in the general election (i.e., since he can get blue collar votes, which will be more difficult for Cruz) and better has the personal leadership capability to take some steps that many will consider ‘not very pretty’.

On immigration, Cruz appears to have his blemishes, but NEVER FORGET THIS from last year in the US House:

” ‘These (Illegals) could live legally and without fear in the U.S., but only if they were willing to admit their culpability, pass rigorous background checks, pay significant fines and back taxes, develop proficiency in English and American civics, and be able to support themselves and their families (without access to public benefits),’ the (House Republican Immigration Reform Principals) document states.”

http://blogs.rollcall.com/218/boehner-releases-immigration-principles/

This was in January, 2014. The REAL GOAL here was for the House, under CANTOR/Boener, to pass something that could be brought into committee with the RUBIO Amnesty Bill, and then some type of ‘compromise’ be worked out...which likely would have been most of the RUBIO Amnesty Bill.

CRUZ went over to the House, explained the trap to the Republicans there, explained it would lead directly to AMNESTY. The ‘principals’ died BECAUSE OF CRUZ, and ONLY because of Cruz. This was Cruz’s greatest accomplishment, but since it was inside baseball, it never got much visibility.

This set the stage for Trump to run this year, and SEND THE ILLEGALS PACKING - which is why I support Trump, but respect Cruz, tremendously.
