Dealing with this with my daughter now. She is 12 and even though we are homeschoolers, she still has various friends and cousins that go to public school, and of course with everything in the media nowadays, the gay agenda is everywhere. We don’t allow her to have any social media on the computer, but that hasn’t stopped her from seeing things online and on TV. Almost all shows have a gay or transgender character, etc. She has been spouting off a bunch of “tolerant” nonsense and “you can’t help who you love or if you feel like you should have been born another gender” etc. We are Christians, go to church, homeschool, etc. and this is still something we are having to deal with. I know part of it is that she is 12 and is going through a little rebellious stage, and I have been trying not to make a huge deal about it, but I have gotten upset lately and told her I don’t understand her turning her back on our family’s values. I am praying hard that we don’t lose her to this culture.
Same here ... and they are impervious to reason. “Everything you say makes sense,” is my 17-year-old’s perspective, “But ... my feeeeeeeelingggggs!!!”
