"Having a conversation" about what to do with illegals here after the border is secured is weasel words for amnesty. You can book it. How many years have we had that conversation already? Amnesty means the destruction of the country.

At least since 1986:

   "This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal
   aliens.  We will secure the borders henceforth.  We will never again
   bring forward another amnesty bill like this."

Although, one could date it from Dead-Ted's (now sober 6+ years) 1965 immigration bill.

the problem was not the idea...the problem is that the “after the border is secured” time NEVER actually happened.

Kate Steinle’s murderer had successfully been deported 5 times...or was it 6? Deportation is nothing but a distraction UNTIL THE BORDER IS SECURE. Steinle’s murder PROVES it. Kate was killed not because of a lack of deportation, she was killed due to a lack of a secure border.
