That comes to less than four legislators per state, a trifle. Obama doesn’t care about mayors and alderman, and little more about party officials. This pushback is pathetically small.

I'm not so sure it's a small amount. Since Obama has been President the Democrats have lost 12 Governorships, and over 900 state legislature positions from all 50 states.
