Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will be endorsed Monday by a group of 100 African-American pastors and religious leaders after a private meeting at Trump Tower in New York.
"I was looking for some subtle hints of racism," Darrell Scott, senior pastor of the New Spirit Revival Center in Cleveland, told the Times. He said he had met Trump personally and was convinced that he was best suited for the White House. "I didn't see it at all."
Scott, a registered Democrat who voted for President Barack Obama, helped organize Monday's meeting, the Times reports. He has been helping to introduce Trump to Christian leaders from across the country.

Trump has probably worked with, employed, and negotiated with more black business owners, laborers and partners than any other candidate of either party.
He isn’t racist.
I watched the SNL show he hosted a couple weeks ago. Even they had a joke about when he said, “I love ‘the blacks’.” The black cast members were in on the joke....he owned the phrase and they had fun with it.....
I haven’t decided whether to vote for him in our primary, but I do not believe he is racist. Frankly, I think the Democrat party tends to racism...the history of that party holding on to slavery, segregation, and the mental dependence on the welfare state that seems to have taken over at least a big part of urban blacks has at its roots a disrespect of that population.
Modern Democrats foster the notion that people of color cannot make it on their own, that they are in perpetual need of THEIR HELP, and that is in itself racism. In truth, they really don’t care about the financial or social health of that population beyond what it can mean for their own re-election.
In many ways, the Democrats treat their base like the GOP-e has been treating its base. Except now, at least in this election cycle so far, the GOP base is sick and tired of it.
Frankly, some of the Democrat base may be tired of their party, too. I personally know a few black liberals who are remarkably quiet these days-—and don’t argue with me when I point out the stink coming from the Oval Office. And they’re not thrilled with Shrillary.
Interesting, but can they deliver the flocks?
First time I looked at the headline, I thought it said “Black Panthers”. That really made me look twice.
LOL!
Me too.
$$$$$
Trump has more faith in him than all the evangelicals in Iowa. We win that too!
