While I agree with most of what you have said, I’m not sure I would use the term ‘allies’ when referring to the Kurds.
Maybe in an enemy of my enemy is my friend sort of way, but it would stop there. I’m not even opposed to arming them, if they happen to be fighting for their own lives against ISIS...but I wouldn’t count them as ‘friends’. The Kurds are using the west, and we are using them - but at the end of the day, we are the infidel to them.
The Kurds are Muslims but right now they are more worried about their Muslim enemies, the Turks Issis and the Iranians than us. They are allies of convenience.
