There’s a certain kind of stupid that will proclaim their distrust of American media (well-deserved), and yet take Russian propagandists at face value.

The fact is that there are no “good guys” in this fight. The Turks (especially their government) have become hardline Islamists and supporters, and the Russians (especially their government) are thugs, kleptocrats, and imperialists longing for the good-old-days of the USSR. They are both dangerous, outlaw regimes.

It’s Hitler vs Stalin. The US might have allies of convenience on particular topic, but neither of these countries can be trusted. And the FReepers who consistently jump on the Kremlin bandwagon (the ones who aren’t actually Russian shills) are fools to think that there is any difference between them...

Let these two destroy each other.

There is very little credibility on the part of either American or Russian media.

However, there is very good evidence that Turkey is at least covertly supporting ISIS, and in some respects covertly.

When ISIS declared that the new Caliphate should have its center in Turkey, well, ol’ Erdogan got a woody.

I was stationed in Turkey for a while in the early 1970s. I do not trust the Turks at all.
