maybe so...

Russia is asking for a investigation so I assume we will get the results in due time.

I personally think that the Turkmen on the ground, might have killed one of them, but the info is sketchy and confused.

The Turkmen have had the crap bombed out of them by the Russians and have lost a lot of men and villages to them as well. So they are pretty po’d...but they don’t take direction from turkey and in fact we are arming them which is where they got the TOW to down the rescue craft.

Another thread states that pilot #2 was rescued by Assad’s army.

I would feel much better about Trump (and Cruz) if I heard them saying that the TWO political/social threats we face are Islam and Godless Marxism (which today goes by at least three names: Cultural Marxism, Political Correctness, and Critical Theory). The Godless Marxists have allied themselves with Islam, which they hope will assist them in destroying Christianity.

It is entirely insufficient, to rouse the American people from their slumber, to call Obama, Hillary, et al., “stupid,” “incompetent,” “weak,” “Neville Chamberlain(s),” and suchlike. They are Godless Marxists, and they control the universities, the press, the government schools, K-12, the entire Abortion Party, and much of the Republican Party.

Yes this is a total mess. We have a NATO treaty with a Muslim country that didn't support us in Iraq that is fighting a Stalin wannabe who, sadly, is about the only leader in the world standing up for Christianity, nationalism, and heterosexual marriage.

"And I say to myself, what a wonderful world."

The Rube obviously doesn’t know anything about the Turks and their Islamist government.

It seems that some of that dirty Saudi/Sunni money must've found its way into Marco Rubio's pocket, showing that there's enough in the till to buy John McCain, the whole Kennebunkport Klan AND Dondi.

Hey Marco! "What's in your wallet?" Apparently a Caliphate One card.

If the pilots were killed, it’s a bridge too far.

Rubio tryin' to demonstrate his "Foreign Affairs Creds".

Gosh, I'm so impressed I'm gonna stop funding Cruz and get behind Rubio......

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz

Donate to FR

Various US envoys have tried to reason with both of them, tried to get him to act responsibly, but all efforts failed, over and over..

The notion that Assad can't be reasoned with is absurd and the folks like Rubio who are pushing that nonsense should be classified as domestic enemies.

Did Rubio ever serve in the military? Many who never experienced such service are quick to put others in harm’s way. After all, they are our betters.

Marco Rubio has a sizable family and is not independently wealthy. Does he rent himself out as a Charlie McCarthy for big donors?

As I told you, non of that worked...Assad paid them only lip service. It was all a charade.

I find it astounding that a conservative would defend Assad.

While I don’t see any workable options for regime change here, I could never utter a single approving word about either of them.

This place is broken.

@sunrise_sunset: The Cold War is over and Russia is more capitalist than the U.S.

That is not the case; we are into Cold War II, and Russia is a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kleptocracy:

Currently Putin is instigating the merger of the corrupt ordinary court system and the well-functioning economic courts, which in all likelihood will render the economic courts as corrupt as the ordinary ones. Not very convincingly, Putin argued that “unifying these courts will allow us to bring judicial practice onto one track, and therefore strengthen the guarantees protecting a crucial constitutional principle, the equality of all before the law.” Of course, the president cannot state openly that he is promoting the inequality of corruption.
http://www.themoscowtimes.com/opinion/article/putins-conservative-state-capitalism/491790.html

Speaking last June at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, President Dmitry Medvedev said: “I want to state very definitely - we are not building a state capitalism.” President-elect Vladimir Putin has promised to reduce the government's role in the economy by 2016. In an article published last January in business daily Vedomosti, Putin proposed to partly privatize dealing with state-owned enterprises working in the high-tech sector, such as Rosatom and Rostekhnology.

Exiting president Medvedev and president-elect Putin may deny that Russia's powers-that-be are not building state capitalism. But deny it or not, over two decades Russia has been breathing hard under a worse socio-economic system - a state-oligarchy capitalism.
