Goes good with popcorn....
Georgia and Ukraine for example were at their longest periods of peace and prosperity under the Czars.
It is indicative of the circles you are doing to call Stalin a Georgian national - a Russian. And it is ironic you mentioned Georgia's borders were messed up by the commies which caused this problem after the USSR broke up but seem to deny this is a problem in the Ukraine as well.
Ah, I can’t eat popcorn anymore. But when I smell it (buttered popcorn) reminds me of my kid job of working in the local movie theatre. I still have the burns on my right arm from working the machine.
That's funny. One of the predictors that foresaw the fall of the Soviet Union was the ethnic unrest caused by Russian domination.
No terrorist group has signed the Geneva Convention.....this is why we have different rules of engagement for them....they are not covered. Guantanamo Bay, waterboarding...etc.
Needs repeating !
> No terrorist group has signed the Geneva Convention
IIRC, according to the Geneva Convention, non-uniformed partisans can be summarily executed. In WWII, they were. By both sides.
The Russians were amongst first to break from the USSR - see Yeltsin.

Since I found it referenced in a declassified CIA document online I'll tell you. In 1978 as a member of the USAF with a Top Secret clearance, I attended a Soviet Awareness Briefing that made us all aware that the USSR was about to break up. One of the major factors was the ethnic resistance to the Russian domination of all the other members of their union. Your insistence that this did not exist is ignorant and foolish.
Reality in 1991 is different from what a report in 1978 says it will be.
