I don’t see why it is so difficult for your mind to comprehend this. Russian warplanes have been overflying Turkey repeatedly now for weeks. Turkey has already complained about this multiple times. Formal protests have been filed, with NATO’s support against Russia for constantly violating Turkish airspace.

Russia is not just “killing terrorist and jihadist” in Syria. They are doing everything they can to keep Assad in power. THAT is their objective. This means they are bombing the rebel allies of other nations rather than primarily focusing on Daesh (ISIL). So Russia is flying bombing raids against Turkey’s rebel allies (who are not Daesh) and overflying Turkish airspace to do it. OF COURSE Turkey is going to shoot those Russian planes down after repeated warnings. We would do the same if it came down to it.

Oh and Russia can and will do nothing. They can complain, they can file protests, but they don’t have the military strength to do a thing against Turkey. And the silly ideas floating around that Russia has the power to enforce a no fly zone over Syria is nonsense. The US could do that, but not Russia.

Instead of evading the questions, answer them.

“They are doing everything they can to keep Assad in power. THAT is their objective”

Here’s a brain teaser for you. If Assad falls, who by far has the motivation and power among the rebel groups to come up on top and be running Syria?
It will be an ISIS state. (nobody except you, McCain and Obama says ISIL)

For Bonus points which of “our” rebels will allow Syrian Christians and the handful of Jews in Damascus to live normally? None.
So yeah, wiping out all the rebels, even “ours” is a very good thing. Removing Assad is doing what the Saudis want, and enslaves people.

Great idea. They have some common sense.

I wonder what state Iraq and Syria would be in today if we'd left Saddam Hussein in power?

The "impotent Russia" wet dream of the demented cold warriors who still think it's 1962.

Russia doesn't have the "military strength"? Do you mean conventional military strength? Russia could vaporize Turkey with the push of a button.

As for conventional military strength, its Black Sea Fleet is right on Turkey's doorstep and it could blockade Turkish ports without any problem whatsoever. And Turkey could do what?

Based on what they have already done, it not silly at all.

Since they went into Syria, the Germans and the US pulled ground to air missiles out of Turkey, and our lone aircraft carrier was pulled out of the ME.

Seems to me the Russians do control the skies over Syria but don't enforce it as they encourage the west to engage terrorist on the ground.

We should be on the side of Russia in this fight, not Turkey.
