-The US supported Britain during WWII
-Britain is part of Europe
-Nazi Germany was part of Europe
-The US supported the Nazis during WWII.

ISIS (Sunni)
Al Qaeda (Sunni)
Hezbollah (Shia)
Hamas (Shia)
Syria supports ME Shia terrorism.
Iran supports ME Shia terrorism.
Russia supports Syria and Iran
The US supports Iraq fight Sunni terrorism (ISIS and Al Qaeda) in Iraq.
The US supports the Syrian FSA (Sunni) fight Assad’s Syria, ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, Iranians and now, apparently Russians.
Notice we support local resistance to regional terror groups and influences whereas Russia supports regional terror organizations against local resistance and ISIS. Their only beef with ISIS is its threat to Assad. They’re leveraging their bombing to help not only Assad but Iranians in Iraq while boosting their own position in the region -for their benefit! This will greatly escalate the level of violence in the ME. Mark my words.
