There is supposedly a huge pool of magma under the State of Kansas, 200 miles X 300 miles in size. Perhaps this is contributing to the earthquakes.
Is there any evidence for a large quake there in the past? I’ve seen the fault line maps, and there doesn’t look to be any recent geologic features associated with it.
Yeah, right after they are all burned to a crisp like the other set of experts says.
I am not an expert however I too know it is only a matter of time.
I was there during the 5.6. Shook the house for 30 seconds. It was fun.
Its only a matter of time before monkeys fly out of my butt.
Yes, “it is only a matter of time”. However, in geological terms, “time” could be from one day to a billion years, and anything in between.
I’d much rather worry about race riots in Norman, Oklahoma and the liberal ongoing destruction of our educational system in Oklahoma, than a 6.0 earthquake that might not come within our lifetime or even in the next tens of thousands of year.
Plan for it, yes. Kvell over it. no.
The left is gonna blame fracking.... count on it
Then hurry over to Meers and grab a Longhorn Burger before the restaurant is swallowed up by the erf.
Set up a camera. Would make a great youtube video!
5.56mm
What would that do to Jellystone?
We were in Stillwater for a horse sale when the 5.6 hit. Scared us pretty bad.
Earthquakes in Oklahoma before the fracking nonsense.

Kansas is as flat as a pancake.
There’s not going to be any big earthquake, imho.
Will hills develop? Love rolling hills.
Mother Nature helping Texas secede.
There is a major buried fault line that runs north from OKC to Kansas. Google Nemaha Ridge.
