Police ID suspect in shooting of Tulane medical student

NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police have identified a man accused of shooting a medical student who stopped an apparent kidnapping.

Police say 21-year-old Euric Cain of New Orleans is wanted on charges of armed robbery, second-degree kidnapping and attempted first-degree murder.

Here’s the video of the perp attempting kidnapping of the woman, attempted robbery of the medical student, shooting of the medical student in the stomach area, and then two attempts to murder the medical student by pointing the gun at his head - but it jams.

If I understand it correctly, the woman’s purse was taken but she was left behind. I hope that is correct.

Looks like he tried to murder the guy THREE times - I re-watched the video. It appeared he tried twice after the gun jammed on the first attempt at shooting the victim in the head.
