If this is the case, you will also realize that dumb desk clerks aren’t necessarily high level representatives of corporate policies. Geesh. I would ask you to give Avis a break but am guessing you don’t’ rent nearly as many cars as you say you do.
My reading of the story is that the clerk correctly upheld company policy and procedures.
All foreigners are required to provide passport or international drivers license, which the customer did not provide to her. The wife admitted as much in the article.
I conclude claims of discrimination are fraudulent.
Claims of the clerk being incompetent are wrong.
Avis is being unfairly maligned.
A manager was involved, not just a desk clerk.
