I’m flabbergasted at the lies and misrepresentations I’ve seen posted here by FReepers about Sen. Vitter and his record and the false claims about Edwards as a Conservative (let alone ethical). It’s either rank ignorance or paid trolling.

Vitter did not only lose New Orleans, he lost rock solid conservative parishes throughout the state. Vitter still would have lost if every voter in New Orleans had voted for him.
Vitter was rated ‘A+’ by GOA. A Senator can do no better than that. Afraid maybe his “baggage” followed him into the voting booth?
It surprised me, not just that he lost, but got beat by a wide margin.
He should have won. He won reelection to the senate by a wide margin after the rumors of his relationship with prostitutes.
