I think the whole Benghazi presence was being micromanaged by the White House and Clinton was mostly outside the loop, except Clinton should have understood her role as Secretary of State and carried out the responsibilities.

Only one Question needs to be asked for former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta—Did you get an order, and if so, how did you carry out the order to do everything possible to save Ambassador Stevens and his staff after the call from the consulate in Benghazi was received in Washington at 3:42 pm?

The Panetta interview was an attempt at shilling any media panel guest or another Democrat could have sat in for. Had MEET THE PRESS actually asked Panetta relevant questions on the immediate Benghazi response...that would have been ‘news’.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Liz Mair, a “well-connected” former online communications director for the Republican National Committee, is trying to line up secret donors behind a “guerrilla campaign” to “defeat and destroy” Donald Trump’s frontrunning presidential candidacy. The Journal adds that other establishment Republicans now seem to be ramping up both the scale and bluntness of their attacks on Trump as well, including new SuperPAC campaigns, but Mair’s group, Trump Card LLC, might end up being the most extreme. It apparently plans to produce ads and web videos “that attract media attention based on their 'outrageousness and boundary-breaking or bizarre nature’” including such tactics as comparing Trump to his arch-nemesis Rosie O'Donnell, hiring a Trump impersonator to emphasize the candidate's jerkitude, and highlighting how Trump's positions and business tactics run counter to Republican ideology. On top of all that, the intention of the campaign is to attack Trump so brutally that his supporters not only abandon him, but abstain from voting in the primaries altogether.

All the chain of command should have immediately been aware of the details of the call from the consulate in Benghazi was received in Washington at 3:42 pm. The chain of custody of that info should have been priority in case of an attack or any emergency. The response as I understand Panetta’s statements is it was discussed at the 5pm meeting, Obama claims in the debates with Candy Crowley against Romney he gave immediate orders, which was it Mr Chuck Todd?
