Do they realize what they’ve been offered to wish upon themselves?
They thought their folks were uptight sometimes. Did they then hanker to jump, out of the frying pan, into the fire?
(Side note: this is what happens when you don’t believe in any effective kind of God. A kind of stoned/stunned inertia, no real agenda or purpose for the good.)
The government is their god, their creator, the holder of student debt, the arbiter of bankruptcies from freely given credit, and the provider of food stamps and ‘job training assistance.’ Lo, it is government who tucks them into bed with an unemployment check and lets them sleep in.
