OSU in 2015 reminds me of OSU in 1969 in oh so many ways.# 1 in 1968 and Consensus #1 all year in 1969 and had to play only 9 games and no bowl. A lock for the title. Until Michigan came in and exposed their weakness. They had great athletes that returned from that ‘68 championship team too, just like this year,

OSU won the Rose Bowl on New Years Day, 1969. One of the most exciting football game ever (to OSU fans anyway). I don’t remember the team that fall, but the previous year’s team was SPECTACULAR!

Somewhat similar, but they were “exposed” all year long this year, with one of the primary weaknesses being their dependency upon a running QB. Very one dimensional offensive schemes doomed them once they came up against an equally talented team, and the result was expected from my point of view. However, this game was absolutely strange by way of not running the ball with a very talented player who has more or less carried the team on his back most of the season.

The fans in the stadium displayed their disgust with the poor play calling on a couple of occasions, and that's something rarely seen in the Horseshoe. A new offensive coordinator is a must for this team next season. If Meyer sticks with the status quo, he will start having a truly difficult time recruiting top talent, IMO.
