Former Florida governor is spending more than twice as much as any other candidate, according to new data With a full year left until the 2016 presidential election it's still unclear who will emerge the winner. But when it comes to millions spent on TV ads, one candidate has already taken the top spot: Jeb Bush.
However, other than some gift baskets from local stations in Iowa and New Hampshire, the former Florida governor has little to show for it, with poll numbers stubbornly stuck in the single digits.
Bush and his supporters have so far spent an eye-popping $20 million in TV commercials during the 2016 presidential race - more than twice as much as any other candidate, according to ad-spending data from NBC partner SMG Delta. The bulk - $19.5 million - was spent by his Super PAC, Right to Rise.

Fleecing GOP donors is my middle name!
TV is a dead medium unless you’re interested in only reaching those over 55.
Good. Spend that GOPe money!
His paying millions for commercials is his way of just trying to keep the media on his side.
He could’ve just helped out with the cost of the new wall.
It’s not as if he’s blowing his money so it’s all good.
Jeb Bush blows.
Sorry Yeb.
You and your buddies are not gonna “fix” this primary

I could see a thousand ads for turd sandwiches. I’m still not eating turd sandwiches.
Advertising doesn’t work when you’re selling an inferior product.
That’s where my eyes stopped. I thought it was about a coming-out party or something.
The same he would do with our tax dollars!
The headline was perfect at the first three words.
Just so. TV ads are necessary for less widely known candidates, to introduce people to who they are. But everybody knows who Jeb Bush is. The third Bush in a row. And the more people see of him, the less they will think of him.
He’s been on the wrong side of the biggest issues from the get-go. Whoever is “advising” him should refund their fees.
Racial pandering was NOT the way to go, Jebbie. Trump, Cruz and the events of 2015 should have told you that. Drop the PC BS and you might actually get some votes. We are not interested in McCain Lite, reach across the aisle, cowards who won’t address the problems of diversity BS: crime, whining, pandering and yeah, that thing called Terrorism. The sooner you career pols realize that, the more likely you might be to win. Kissing butt of those who could give a rat’s behind about you or me doesn’t cut it. Get real.
Is that word "right" supposed to mean right as in Conservative, or right as in privilage...like it's his right to be the chosen candidate? I suspect it's the latter.
Yes, and I clicked off of every single one of them!
You couldn’t get more boring than Jeb Bush. He looks tired & seems so unnatural in all of his commercials. ,it is painful to watch.
