We’ve gone from enjoying ethnic foods being regarded as open-minded and celebrating diverse cultures to the same being racist? Eat what you like. Like it because you like it. I like most of what passes for Mexican food in this country. Mexican restaurants employ a lot of Mexicans. Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian, the same. For the life of me, I don’t see how that can be construed in any way as being racist. They’re going to end up causing a lot of these places to close, and what will be gained then?

You can eat the food. You just can’t claim it’s authentic, because that ‘fetishizes the sustenance of another culture’, and you have to think about how oppressed that other culture is because of your white privilege. Or something like that.

These nuts need some time in an asylum.
