However, it does make for very amusing political theater...how amusing it would be if Stumbo is out of the Speaker's chair before the session even starts next January from people flying the coop and seeing the writing on the walls after this last election.

So am I. A bunch of those who switched during Reagan's era of popularity formed the core of the intractable RINO clique in the following decades.

And because they were republicans it took much longer for the rank and file to figure them out, actually making them worse than democrats.
